A Very Busy Week

Well it's been so long since I've posted I forgot the html code to use in my title :-)  I attribute my long absence to being busy working and to spending as much time as possible being creative.

On Thursday last week Mary Engelbreit Studios sent out the email blast pictured above.  It was news to me and it, also, was the first time that they had put the Limited Edition Collection of Cherry Chick Jewelry that I have been designing for them the past year, on sale.  The jewelry must have sold like "hotcakes" because they went from 16 designs available on their website down to 1 now.  I mean everything just sold out!  Happy Dance!

I am happy to share that it drove some traffic to my personal websites where I wasn't having a sale.  But that didn't seem to matter.

Fortunately, this week I have been busy creating new designs to sell in my Artfire.com and Etsy.com shops.

I'm grateful for the positive response and added attention.  I know the stuff will sell if people just know it's out there!

A big Thank You to all my wonderful customers and friends.  I truly appreciate your support.  Group Hug!

Cherry Bracelet

I've placed a couple of new things up for sale in my Etsy shop recently.  I don't use Etsy much anymore but stop over and see what's new if you have the time...

A cute little Checkered and Cherries memory wire bracelet here

A new style of Cherry earrings

I have some rare, vintage, Mary Engelbreit Christmas pins for sale there, too.  Back in the early 90's I was a sales rep for Edith Lucas Designs who created these licensed decoupaged pins from Mary's illustration.  All three of the Christmas pins have never been out of the original packaging.  Here's the link

Thanks for stopping by...Enjoy!

A New Mary Engelbreit Collection

I'm happy to be able to share that next week Mary Engelbreit Studios will be offering a new collection of Cherry Chick Jewelry.  Yepper.....looks like they sold a few things and they've asked me to come up with some more cuteness.  I, of course, was happy to offer up 17 new designs to add to the limited edition collection that is being sold on Mary's website.  So keep a look out next week for the darling Cottage Rose Pendant pictured above along with some matching extra cute Cottage Rose earrings that will be available here.

I have a few new designs available for sale in my Artfire.com store.  The "Aqua Swirl" earrings pictured above are the most wonderful shade of blue. Here
While poking around Pinterest this week I came up with an idea for beaded ribbon bookmarks.  Here's the Cherry version. Here
Here's the Flower version of my new beaded ribbon bookmarks. Here

That's enough cuteness for today. But if you're inclined to want to see more peek over to the right in my Artfire.com storefront.

The Secret Revealed!!!!

Remember the blog post that I wrote on March 1st about Bad News....Good News?? Here....It was about one door closing (having just been laid off from my job) and another door opening.  Well the door above should have been your first clue to the "top secret project".

The "secret" was revealed this past Friday on Mary Engelbreit's website. Happy Dance!  Yes...that would be the Cherry Chick logo on the right side of ME's front page.  I'm sure you're asking yourself "Why would Vicki's logo be on Mary's website?" Right???

Well, that's because I was asked to be a Guest Blogger on Mary's website!!! Whoot! Whoot! By now you are thinking "Why would they ask the Cherry Chick to write a blog post???" Link to blog post Here

More fabulous news! I was asked by Mary Engelbreit Studios to create a collection of jewelry for them to retail.
Link to jewelry is Here

Yepper! Can you believe your eyes?  There is now a Limited Edition Collection of Cherry Chick Jewelry for Mary Engelbreit's Shop.  I'm so excited to finally be able to share it with my "peeps".  There are eight pieces in the collection.  Some earrings, some bracelets, and some necklaces.  One of the designs was Out of Stock by Saturday! OMG!

I had so much fun designing the collection.  Even though most of my jewelry is usually one of a kind pieces, I didn't mind making multiple pieces of one design.  It was interesting to get the "process" going.

I jokingly referred to my studio as CherryChickConn to John, President/COO of MES, referencing the assembling plant for Apple iPads, Foxconn that's been in the news.

I have really enjoyed all of the support and sweet comments that have been left on my Cherry Chick Jewelry Facebook page and on Mary's Facebook page.  There are some wonderful "peeps" out there who have been so kind to me.  So thank you for letting me share my "15 minutes" with you and an even bigger Thank You to those who helped make this all possible. Group hug!
