It's Been A Wonderful Tour!

I've just finished Winging My Way Around the World!  This was the first time I had heard about Lisa's wonderful event. She had 876 participants this year and what an Event it was. I hopped around to meet as many of the bloggers that I could. I might not have left a comment everywhere but I had a wonderful time reading about all of the many bloggers who joined in. For me it wasn't about the giveaways....it was about seeing what made each one of us unique.
I was completely shocked that I had over 300 bloggers leave a comment on my post.  I think the closer to the front of the list you are the more bloggers stop by. I was fortunate enough to be #39 but some of the first few on the list had 500+ comments. Amazing! I received so many wonderful messages from people from all over the world that I felt like my one little pair of Very Cherry earrings wasn't adequate for all the people who had stopped by. So I added a pair of Victorian Flowers earrings after I passed 200 comments with the idea that if I hit 300 comments I would add yet a third pair of earrings. Well on the last day I reach #300 so I added another pair of Very Cherry earrings to the giveaway since they seemed so popular. In addition to all the thoughtful comments I had over 20 new "Peeps" become followers of my blog. I am truly humbled and excited to have so many new friends.
Just in case you missed the pictures from my original post here they are again.

Lisa from A Whimsical Bohemian deserves a big round of applause for the wonderful job she did putting this One World One Heart event together.  What dedication she has to this event. She has planned an even more exciting event for next year so be sure to stop over and read about it on her blog.

Sooooo....I'm sure everyone is looking for WHO will be the proud to owners of the "Jewels".
#1 is Sherry from "Country Wings" who will be sent a pair of the Very Cherry earrings. Sherry's into technology, she likes pink, she collects cherries and she has a charming blog. Please stop over and congratulate her.
#2 is Debbie from "Simply Debbie" who will be sent the Victorian Lavender earrings. She likes Meg Ryan movies like I do, listens to Enya's music like I do, she has the cutest cats, and she left me just the sweetest comment ever.
last but not least #3 is Connie from "she dreams big" who will be receiving the other pair of Very Cherry earrings. Connie is frozen up there in Nebraska it would seem. She has a beautiful blog, is Way talented and artistic, and offers plenty of eye candy over on her blog. Do stop and congratulate her, too.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello. I wish I could give a pair of Very Cherry earrings to everyone but it just ain't in the budget this month. If you just can't "live" without a pair of them I do have a few pairs for sale in my Artfire.com shop here.

One World One Heart

Hi! I'm Vicki a.k.a. Cherry Chick. Thanks so much for stopping by to meet me as you "Wing Your Way Around the World". For those of you who may not know "One World One Heart" is a blogger event designed for us to meet others from around the world. As Lisa from "A Whimsical Bohemian" writes "It gives all those who blog a chance to meet and mingle and form connections with those they may not have otherwise met from all over the world. Think of it as a GIGANTIC open house allowing you to travel without ever leaving your home........going from blog to blog(in various countries) seeing the wonder each one has created and meeting all the fabulous people behind those blogs. As a bonus each blogger participant will offer up a "door prize or prizes"....just for dropping by, saying hello and seeing their world. It's really that easy."

As I said above, I'm Vicki. I'm in sunny Florida in the USA.  I write my blog to share my love of beads, jewelry designing, cherries, and the illustrator Mary Engelbreit.  You can meet my cat, Missy, pictured on the right side of my blog near the top. I've been blogging for a couple of years now but it's only been this past year that I've really gotten out their to meet so many wonderful friends in the blogging World. I look forward to getting around to seeing all of the participants in the One World One Heart blogs in the next couple of weeks.
Very Cherry Earrings
A pair of Very Cherry earrings is what I am offering as my "Door Prize".  I think they would be enjoyed in any country...right??
EDIT~So many wonderful people have stopped by and left a comment that I think one pair of earrings is hardly going to be adequate. So...I have added a second pair of my Victorian Flower earrings to the giveaway for the 200+ comments. If I get 300 comments I'll add another pair to be given away.
EDIT, again~Well it seems just under the wire, I have received 300 comments. I will now be giving away a second pair of Very Cherry earrings. So that means there will be three Happy Bloggers tomorrow! All you need to do is leave me a comment on this post and make sure I have a way to get back to you. I thank graciously for stopping by.

Shop at Mornin Glories & a giveaway

It's Thursday, again, so that means Cindy over at "Mornin Glories" has opened her lovely shop up again for all of us to share our wares.

I just realized that the watch I shared last week is called "Polka Dot Cottage Rose Watch. So this week I'm calling this watch "Stripes Cottage Rose Watch".  Eventually, you run out of names for these pieces of jewelry! Then there's the whole thing of trying to come up with something descriptive that the search engines will pick up on and place right at the top of the search engine pages. It'd be so much easier to just "walk" over to Morning Glories and place the watch into Cindy's beautiful wicker display case. Cindy, it is wicker??? Right?
Thanks for stopping by today. You can find the watch here.

I'd, also, like to share with everyone the wonderful work of my Famous Friend Heather over at Dragonfly Lampworks. She is having a giveaway in the next few days for this darling set of glass lampwork beads, Pink Saltwater Taffy. Heather is the "best" at what she does and you couldn't ask for a nicer woman as your friend. If you happen to be the lucky winner of her charming set of beads you can always contact me to design you something special with them. We work well that way. ;-)

An "Opportunity With CSN Stores".....

I'm sure you've seen it before...a CSN Gift Card Giveaway. Well, I received an email back on September 23rd from Caitlin E. on behalf of CSNPromoTeam offering up a $35 gift card or an opportunity for me to do a review of their products. She goes on to flatter me by writing that they are "seeking out high quality websites and blogs"...who me? "We love the look and feel of your blog"...oh..must be a form letter. ;-)
Anywho, I was in one of those "It's all about me moods" so I've decided to "review" a couple of the items that can be purchased from their 200+ online stores. Seriously, it has taken me forever to look through the bazillion things that you can purchase from them. They've got everything from coffee tables to Cherry Flip Flops. Yes, you read it right! They have coffee tables!
So I'll be putting in my order for a couple of their items soon and then I'll let you know what I think after they arrive.

But just so you don't think it's always "all about me" I'm offering up a little Giveaway, too. Did you see the "fancy intense pink" 24.78 carat Pink Diamond that is being sold by an unidentified private collector at Sotheby's next month? They're expecting it to fetch up to $38 million dollars.
Well, that's not what I'm giving away. I was just wondering if you saw how beautiful it is. I've already forwarded the Yahoo! story to the BF. Hint..Hint.
But what I am giving away is this cute little trio of Mary Engelbeit matching items.Ta-Da! Friends are the Flowers in the Garden of Life
All you need to do to enter the Giveaway is leave me a comment on this post and tell me if you seriously thought I was giving away a 24.78 carat Pink Diamond. As if...lol!
I will do a random drawing in the evening on Monday, Oct. 11th, and announce the winner then.

Go and See Ms. Sweet Bee...

My friend, Sweet Bee, over at Sweet Bee Cottage is celebrating her "Blogthday" with a delightful giveaway. Even though I reduce my odds of winning by sharing this with The World, I'm happy to help spread the word and celebrate with her. Please "buzz" on over to her blog and leave her a sweet comment and wish her a Happy Blogthday, too!

I've always liked my Mary Engelbreit letters and yes "C" is my favorite.

ME Monday.....

Something New For Mondays...

My new friend, Genie, from over at "Buttons for Baga" has sent me  a Mary Engelbreit Challenge.  Ha...Ha...Ha..Ha... Foolish Woman! She already has conceded that I will win..lol!
I have decided to create "ME Mondays" here on my blog to share so that anyone who loves ME as much as we do can participate. It's easy to join in...starting Sunday night after 8 p.m. EST you'll be able to post your link to your blog with the related Mary Engelbreit pictures to share with everyone.  Have patience with me as this will be my first attempt at "Linky tools."
For our first ME Monday I put out the challenge to post a picture of what you think is your most unique ME item.  It can be a ME licensed product or something that was "inspired" by Mary Engelbreit's artwork.  It must be a photo that you took of something that you own.  They don't have to be magazine quality photos, either. We realize everyone is busy.
Along with this new ME Monday, I have launched the second page of my blog  "What..Where..Why..Is Cherry Chick Jewelry" On this new page I will be sharing information about the jewelry that I design and sell. I'm offering a "Giveaway" over there, too, so make sure you click over and enter the giveaway.

Mary Englebreit Sewing Needles

I think this is a pretty interesting ME item. I bought these years ago at JoAnn Fabrics. They had several designs of cards with a little sewing needle kit inside. Has anyone every seen these before??
