A very sad day........
I usually try to keep my blog posts on the "positive" side and despite what anyone's political views might be I'm just not feeling a Rednesday today. I'm sure by now most have seen that Elizabeth Edwards has lost her battle with cancer lived a good life and won. She was a gracious woman in her short 61 years here on earth. I have a lot of respect for a woman who handled what life threw at her as well as she did. I'm know that she will be missed by more than just her family.

I feel so sad about her passing as well. I just watched her a week or so ago on The
ReplyDeleteNate Bercus Show. He was interviewing her in her home. Then on the show itself they showed her on Sykpe. She had lost her hair and alot of weight. She still seemed well but I took it as a sign that her days were limited. I feel bad for her children.
Thank you, Vicki!
ReplyDeleteShe always seemed to handle her life with "class". I can't imagine having to endure some of the circumstances she went through, least of all this cancer. When I heard yesterday that they'd stopped treatment I figured it wouldn't be long but was shocked that it was only one day later! May she rest in peace and light perpetual shine on her.

Vicki,
ReplyDeleteI agree with everything said here...I wish I had some her abilities to "handle" life right now.....I am sure she will be missed!
Vickii ..I saw her on the Nate show about 3 weeks ago. What an awesome testimony she gave..on how she wanted to be remembered. I did admire her so much. She said the only comfort she would have in passing..was to see her son in Heaven. She was a strong woman!! I will be getting her book for Christmas..a friend had already told me she had picked one up for me.

Oh dear, I just read yesterday that she wasn't doing very well. She will be missed! What a gracious lady.
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting a tribute to this lovely lady. So many of us could identify with her struggles and throughout everything, she stood so strong. RIP Elizabeth.
ReplyDeleteVicki,
ReplyDeleteI could not agree more! We so often read about people behaving badly, but Elizabeth was a truly gracious lady. My heart goes out to her children.

Very sad, but she handled her life and struggles with pure class!
ReplyDeleteVicki, it is a sad day. She was a gracious lady who lived her life with dignity. A life much too short! Thank you for posting this lovely tribute. ~ Sarah
ReplyDeleteI totally agree. She carried herself with so much grace. A strong woman who will be sorely missed.

Loved, loved her and she did not deserve the fleabag she had for a husband. She was very truly beautiful inside and out - thank you for
ReplyDeleteposting the lovely photo of her. JV
Thank you for this lovely tribute. Like the others I had watched her on the Nate show and just days before the news of her death she seemed in good spirits. I am sad that she suffered so much but she was a shining example to so many and her legacy will live on.
ReplyDeleteAnd I believe she had made peace with her husband (ex) and his choices. She allowed him to be there with her and for their children at the end. More gracious than I.
