Christmas Baking, etc.

I started doing a little Christmas baking last night.  I finished up this afternoon with a few more doz. cookies.  Almond poppy seed bread is a requested favorite around here.  I wish you all lived closer...I'd share. :-)

It looks like it will be a very "Mary" Christmas around here.  I love those Chinese take out containers  for wrapping up cookies to give.  I'm crossing my fingers that Michaels will have some left after Christmas and that they get marked down. ;-)

Cherries on the Chain

Inspired by a bunch of new red druk beads I offer you my new "Cherries on the Chain" necklace.  All the "cherries" have been hand wrapped and attached to the chain necklace.  I then attached wonderful glass leaves with jump rings to the chain.  This is so cute on......I'm thinking I need to have one.  A new style of Cherry earrings, too.
A few more new designs with those cute Poppy Flowers and a pair of Pink rosebud earrings with copper colored findings.  The new piece are now in my Artfire.com shop.
Thanks for taking a look! :-)

Early Christmas

"What is that?" you say......
A Cherry serving tray, perhaps....a Cherry license tag cover...hmmm???  You would be incorrect on both guesses.

Still not sure??  Here's a hint....see the little hole on the upper left for the speaker or the long hole on the right for the camera and flash?  We know for sure that it's something with a Mary Engelbreit design, right?

Okay....surely by now you've figured it out.  My very sweet and generous friend, Jeanne, just sent me an early Christmas present last night.  Something that I "coveted" but never would have spent the $$ on for myself. A too cute Mary Engelbreit "skin" for my Motorolla Zoom tablet.  I really love it and it's so "me"!!  There's even a downloadable matching wallpaper that makes it that much more Fabulous!  Happy Dance!!  Thank you my friend. ;-)

Thanksgiving Baking

Brown Butter Pumpkin Cupcakes with Caramel Cream Cheese Frosting

Can I just say how pooped I am tonight?  I was on my feet all afternoon baking and I'm exhausted.  From my initial taste of just the cupcake I'd say these are worth it.  I found this on Pinterest a few weeks ago but there was no link to the photo credit.  I ended up Googling the recipe name and found Tracey's Culinary Adventures  blog here.  I'm sure once I get the frosting on them tomorrow they will be fabulous!

Pumpkin Pie Snickerdoodle Bars with Cinnamon Cream Cheese Frosting

This was a recipe I tried last year and it was a giant hit at the office. I even had men asking me for the recipe.  Again, another wonderful dessert I found on Pinterest here.
I now am even more Thankful  for my friend Kathy who is cooking a delicious Thanksgiving dinner and inviting me to her home to join her extended family.  I'm sure she will have spent much more time in the kitchen than I did today.

Happy Thanksgiving my friends!

A nice collection that my Turkey bracelet was selected to be a part of.

Cherry Bracelet

I've placed a couple of new things up for sale in my Etsy shop recently.  I don't use Etsy much anymore but stop over and see what's new if you have the time...

A cute little Checkered and Cherries memory wire bracelet here

A new style of Cherry earrings

I have some rare, vintage, Mary Engelbreit Christmas pins for sale there, too.  Back in the early 90's I was a sales rep for Edith Lucas Designs who created these licensed decoupaged pins from Mary's illustration.  All three of the Christmas pins have never been out of the original packaging.  Here's the link

Thanks for stopping by...Enjoy!

No cranberry needed...

Hot out of the oven....
A One of A Kind Turkey Bracelet any women would be "thankful" to have around her wrist during the Fall season. It's been created with 13 American Artisan glass lampwork beads, Swarovski crystals, a Czech pressed glass leaf bead and gold tone spacer beads. The glass lampwork beads are various tones of fall colors with brown and white polka dot lentil shaped beads to the left and right of the focal turkey bead. The turkey has a cute little tail and feet showing on the back of the bead. I've used a toggle clasp with a gold chain extension that will allow you to size this bracelet on your wrist from 7 3/4" to 9". Please pass the rolls...

Thanks for stopping by...

A New Mary Engelbreit Collection

I'm happy to be able to share that next week Mary Engelbreit Studios will be offering a new collection of Cherry Chick Jewelry.  Yepper.....looks like they sold a few things and they've asked me to come up with some more cuteness.  I, of course, was happy to offer up 17 new designs to add to the limited edition collection that is being sold on Mary's website.  So keep a look out next week for the darling Cottage Rose Pendant pictured above along with some matching extra cute Cottage Rose earrings that will be available here.

I have a few new designs available for sale in my Artfire.com store.  The "Aqua Swirl" earrings pictured above are the most wonderful shade of blue. Here
While poking around Pinterest this week I came up with an idea for beaded ribbon bookmarks.  Here's the Cherry version. Here
Here's the Flower version of my new beaded ribbon bookmarks. Here

That's enough cuteness for today. But if you're inclined to want to see more peek over to the right in my Artfire.com storefront.

Be the Queen Bee

I have a few new designs available this week.  There seems to be so many Bee fans in my group of friends that I decided to create this pendant necklace "Queen Bee".

If you look closely at the artisan crafted glass lampwork bee hive you'll see that that the Queen Bee has her own little Baby Bee.

A Lovely Day of Tea

A few months ago my neighbor & friend, Paddy, and I went to a wonderful tea room about 45 minutes out of Tampa.  It's located in Plant City and is called the Camellia Rose Tea Room & Boutique.  Paddy loves to explore different tea rooms and it was her Birthday so we headed out one fine morning to go check us this new location for us.

Camellia's has received great reviews on The Tea Map website. It's located in a quaint little town with little shops to explore close by.  There is a charming gift shop in the front of this historic old building with the tea area elegantly decorated farther in the back past the shopping area.

We had cute little heart shaped cucumber sandwiches.  Floral designs were everywhere including mismatched serving ware and tea cups.

The top tier of our plate stand was filled with delicious dessert treats.  I had my first French macaroon ever! OMG...I've been missing out!  They, also, had these lovely little Swan cream puffs made from puff pastry.  They were as fabulous as they looked.

The second tier was where the yummy finger sandwiches awaited us.  Each one just as awesome as the next.  The Heart shaped cream cheese and cucumber with dill was my favorite.

Located on the bottom tier was this wonderful Pineapple, Macadamia Nut, and Almond flavored scone.  Of course, clotted cream was served along side these amazing pastries.

Our server was just wonderful and very attentive to our needs.  She even brought out a special "Birthday" ice cream for Paddy but she was too stuffed to eat anything more.

Once we finished up our tea and lunch we did a little exploring.  We found this whole other side that looks like it is set up for parties and private events.

I thought is was even more charming than the area we had been seated in.  Mostly because I am a "Pink" girl.  This is definitely the Pink Frilly side.

What a wonderful location to have a bridal shower or baby shower.

Don't you just Love the heart shape cut outs on these darling wooden chairs?

Even the Powder Room was decorated! Too Cute!  So if you ever get to my neck of the woods call me....we'll do lunch at Camellia Rose Tea Room.  I'd love to go back there.  Here's the link to their website if you want to check it out.
