M. E. Monday

Welcome, again to Mary Engelbreit Monday. Please join us and post the link to your blog with the related Mary Engelbreit pictures to share with everyone. It can be a ME licensed product or something that was "inspired" by Mary Engelbreit's artwork. It "should" be a photo that you took of something that you own. We're flexible here....let's have fun above all else.

I am happy to report that even though I took this photo in my front yard on Thursday (Jan.27) there is still no snow on the ground here. Sorry, I couldn't help myself. I've been enjoying all of my blogging friends photos of snow. Everyone I know seems to live where there is snow. I so enjoy seeing the pictures so I thought, perhaps, they may enjoy seeing some real life "Green" from Florida.
My Mary Engelbreit 'Love' flag is an extension of my ME mantel display inside my home.

I have a question for those of you who come to ME Monday. I've just found out that Linky Tools will begin to charge for using the link tool starting 2/7/2011. While $2 a month is no big deal they're asking for $24 up front for a subscription. ME Monday is the only "meme" that I hold on my blog and I have noticed a decline in participation. But that could be because everyone is running out of ME stuff to share...lol.  I will probably never run out of ME stuff but hey...that's just ME. So??? The question is "Do I keep going as a "meme" or just share my own ME stuff?" Please let me know your thoughts.

Now, please join me and share your ME with us all. Once you've posted your pictures come back and add your link in MckLinky below. Please share the link back to my blog so that everyone can take part in sharing their post and picture.

  1. Vicki, it's nice to know that there is something green growing somewhere! It gives me hope that Spring will arrive one day!

I don't own that much ME (although I've always loved her prints and books) so I can't answer your question, but it is sad that blogs that run events will now have to pay for Mr. Linky services.

  2. Always enjoy the ME Monday posts, as well as your others! Maybe those who post their ME items could just leave a comment about it & we could go visit that way, bypassing the Linky fee. Would that work? Just an idea.

  3. Vicki, since I've recently discovered M. E. Monday and am one of the newbie participants, I'd be sad to see this weekly party end. But it does seem like a waste if others aren't going to participate. Since I missed many previous posts, I'd love it if others would begin to recycle their earlier posts for another round. Or perhaps ME fans could share favorite features from past issues of HOME COMPANION or book reviews of some of Mary's books. The possibilities are endless.
Good luck with your decision. You know I'll be a regular visitor to the Cherry Chick what ever the decision. ;-)
    Happy M. E. Monday! ~ Sarah

  4. I have been slacking in participating in parties since the holidays. Will they be charging even if you don't use the thumbnail?
Most of my M.E. items are Christmas or high summer. What if you went to a once a month party?

Great flag! I am in snow country but for some reason this year it has been deeper south and west of me. Although I think this next round will find my yard.

  5. Hi Vicki!

I just love your sense of humor -- "there is still no snow on the ground" LOL! We're in for another storm starting tonight and looking forward to 14" of snow. And it's been predicted that we're going to get another 20" next week! YIKES! I have to keep a watchful eye on my dog, Rudy, so that he doesn't sink deep into the depths of white powder never to be found again! :)

About the Linky Tools -- you know I'll ALWAYS look forward to your ME Mondays no matter how many bloggers participate. I do like Jane's idea, though, if it's just getting too costly. Makes sense to me!

Looking forward to your next post --

    Buried in New England,
    Audrey

P.S. JUST LOVE MY CHERRY EARRINGS!

  6. Since I mostly blog about things I find thrifting, I may not have something to share every week, but when I do, I like sharing it with people who appreciate ME as much as I do. There are so many blogs I enjoy reading that I can't keep up with them all, and I'll admit that ME Monday is what keeps me coming here weekly. Plus, it seems my ME thrifting luck has greatly improved since I discovered your blog:) So I would be sorry to see the end of the meme. But if you decide not to give McLinky his money, I like Jane's idea of putting the link in the comments.

  7. Hi, I just found you through Rednesday, and got things set up to participate. I don't have any advice, but I would really enjoy posting my ME stuff. I have done a few for Marty's Table Top Tuesday, and was just going to show them again because I am getting a lot of new readers. If you are still going next week, I'll try my best to participate.

    Thanks,

    Kathy
