Welcome again to Mary Engelbreit Monday. Please join us and post the link to your blog with the related Mary Engelbreit pictures to share with everyone. It can be a ME licensed product or something that was "inspired" by Mary Engelbreit's artwork. It "should" be a photo that you took of something that you own. We're flexible here....let's have fun above all else.
Well let me just say we almost had a crisis here in Cherry World today! My trusty Canon PowerShot A1000IS has been giving me some trouble here lately. For the last couple of weeks I had to press the display button on and off to be able to see a photo in the screen. Well....today when I went to take the picture for ME Monday even that little trick wouldn't work. Ugh! No digital camera! Say it ain't so! A frantic look for the manual offered no help. A quick jump online for support gave me no clues. I do have an email sent off to yonder land hoping that the big digital camera goddess in the sky will say "just push this button you silly girl" and all will be well again in Cherry World. But for now it ain't working. The ole A1000 has been a trusty girl since I won her in a contest from the Ellen DeGeneres show one Christmas. I've had her since she arrived here January of 2009.
When the A1000 arrived she replaced the A560 PowerShot that had been working just fine. Obviously, being the A1000 she had more zoom and optical so the ole A560 went into the closet. Lucky for me I am a pack rat. When the camera wouldn't work this afternoon I went in search of the old camera. I found the really old A75 thinking that was the answer but it's been here even before the A560. It had a compact flash card and the display was whacky. I thought "This can't be right"??? Then I remembered recently moving the old camera bag to the closet, a quick dash back in there and I had my reliable old A560 again. I put the batteries in her and she fired right up! She will have to do until I can figure out if it's worth fixing the "newest" version. I'm sure by now they are up to Canon A6000 models! This week I'm sharing some things that are ME Inspired. I made these little beaded purses years ago out of some little silky drawstrings bags that a friend gave me. She had them from back in the day when she was a sales rep for Leggs hoisery. I guess at one time they had a giveaway with the little bags if I recall correctly. Anywho, she gave me a handful of the bags that I have made into various little decorated bags.
The top picture is my attempt at Flowers with little beaded cherries on the black/white fringe. The second bag is obviously my attempt at cherries. Lots of work but I think they turned out kinda cute. Now it's your turn....Once you've posted your pictures come back and add your link to the link tool below. Please share the link back to my blog so that everyone can take part in sharing their post and picture.

Hello, Hello!
ReplyDeleteWELL, GOODNESS GRACIOUS, I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!! Just when I think I've seen all of your beautiful beadwork, you surprise me with yet ANOTHER jaw-dropping work of art that you've created!!! Vicki, is there ANYTHING you can't do?!?! These beaded purses are ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE! It seems there is no limit to your creative imagination and beading talents... you are a gifted woman who's clever skill I'm envious of, yet you are the genius master crafter that I dream of becoming "when I grow up!" BRAVO!
