It's Been A Wonderful Tour!

I've just finished Winging My Way Around the World!  This was the first time I had heard about Lisa's wonderful event. She had 876 participants this year and what an Event it was. I hopped around to meet as many of the bloggers that I could. I might not have left a comment everywhere but I had a wonderful time reading about all of the many bloggers who joined in. For me it wasn't about the giveaways....it was about seeing what made each one of us unique.

I was completely shocked that I had over 300 bloggers leave a comment on my post.  I think the closer to the front of the list you are the more bloggers stop by. I was fortunate enough to be #39 but some of the first few on the list had 500+ comments. Amazing! I received so many wonderful messages from people from all over the world that I felt like my one little pair of Very Cherry earrings wasn't adequate for all the people who had stopped by. So I added a pair of Victorian Flowers earrings after I passed 200 comments with the idea that if I hit 300 comments I would add yet a third pair of earrings. Well on the last day I reach #300 so I added another pair of Very Cherry earrings to the giveaway since they seemed so popular. In addition to all the thoughtful comments I had over 20 new "Peeps" become followers of my blog. I am truly humbled and excited to have so many new friends.

Lisa from A Whimsical Bohemian deserves a big round of applause for the wonderful job she did putting this One World One Heart event together.  What dedication she has to this event. She has planned an even more exciting event for next year so be sure to stop over and read about it on her blog.

Sooooo....I'm sure everyone is looking for WHO will be the proud to owners of the "Jewels".

She has a beautiful blog, is Way talented and artistic, and offers plenty of eye candy over on her blog. Do stop and congratulate her, too.

A Sweet Bee Giveaway

Rednesday & Cherry Giveaway

Such a Deal!

There is a wonderful little "anytime tea bar" here in Tampa called "Dishtophia". They have a gazillon different teas to choose from, they make some fabulous quiches, and really yummy scones.  I've been there a number of times with my neighbor, Paddy, and I stop in there when I come back from Michaels in south Tampa. I follow their Facebook page, too, and I recently saw that they had 75% off their "vintage dishes". It just so happens that some of their 'vintage' is Mary Engelbreit's stuff.  I was not able to get down to see them during the holidays but I made sure to stop by on Saturday after my class at Michaels. The charming little set of bowls was what called my name when I walked in. Full price they were $24.90 for the set but those babies came home with me for $6.66. Yikes! I just realized what the number is....an Omen perhaps??? Not to worry...I'm a happy camper and I'll be keeping my eyes open for new additions to the sale.

It's been a very busy week in Cherry Chick world! Busy is good because busy means $$$ but it, also, means very little time for anything but working. Thirty seven hours with a client this week, teaching at Michaels on Weds. night, and teaching again at Michaels on Sat. morning. Then a couple more hours at Michaels to work up a new sample for a wire crocheting class. I was so ready for Sunday today!

The great thing about being in Michaels a couple of days a week is getting to see when the new Mary Engelbreit stuff arrives. This week the $1 bins were flush with new products to share with everyone here on ME Monday. How cute are these little tissue boxes? They're only 3 inches squared and perfect for my little studio desk top.

New socks! I love socks! I love socks more than I love shoes. I could tell these had just been placed in the bin. Fresh socks! Happy dance!

This is a Cherry Chick "Fried Egg Flower" watch. I figured it has some Red in it so it should count for Rednesday. Sometime this week I will be posting my 200th blog post. I have a few interesting and unique ME items to share this week.....

"Life is Just a Chair of Bowlies" is a Limited Edition Porcelain figurine dated 1986 that I've had forever it seems like. It's a favorite of mine.

If I recall correctly, my Mother gave this Anne Estelle needlepoint pillow to me one year as a Christmas gift.

This stationery tin was a promotional giveaway one year at J.C. Penney's for Mother's Day. My sweet son, Christopher, gave it to me. Ahhh....I know....isn't that sweet?

Something New For Mondays...

My new friend, Genie, from over at "Buttons for Baga" has sent me  a Mary Engelbreit Challenge.  Ha...Ha...Ha..Ha... Foolish Woman! She already has conceded that I will win..lol!

I have decided to create "ME Mondays" here on my blog to share so that anyone who loves ME as much as we do can participate. It's easy to join in...starting Sunday night after 8 p.m. EST you'll be able to post your link to your blog with the related Mary Engelbreit pictures to share with everyone.  Have patience with me as this will be my first attempt at "Linky tools."

Mary Englebreit Sewing Needles

I think this is a pretty interesting ME item. I bought these years ago at JoAnn Fabrics. They had several designs of cards with a little sewing needle kit inside. Has anyone every seen these before??
