Mary Engelbreit pincushion

Well it seems like I have been missing for a long time. I haven't been doing much with jewelry these days as my time seems to be taken up with my Decorative Sewing Pins and More shop on Etsy.

I've been hunting down Vintage Mary Engelbreit pincushions to add my decorative sewing pins to and placing them in my shop for sale as a set.

Here's one of the new Fried Egg Flower fabric chair pincushions that I have available in the shop. It will come with a set of cute floral sewing pins as pictured.

I have some cute scissor fobs and needle minders that coordinate well with the pincushion, too.

Decorated Tape Measure Case

Something new that I have been working on....decorated cases with sewing tape measures. 

 

They're little plastic cases that I have decorated with assorted flowers beads and glass leaf beads.  Some have butterfly beads and some have glass ladybug beads.

 

There are six choices of colors for the actual tape measure inside each case.

The Aqua Blue and Red Series

Aqua Blue and Red is such a popular color combination these days.  I've seen craft rooms decorated with the color scheme that just make me swoon with envy.  Here's my contribution to the "Aqua/Red" movement.  
The various hand crocheted cotton flower appliques range in size from apppx. 3" to 1 3/4" and are available in my Etsy.com shop here.

New Decorative Pins

It seems the decorative pins that I added to my Etsy.com shop on July 4th have been very popular.  I've just added some new color combos and more designs to the shop.

 

What does one do with these little cutie pies you might ask???  These sweet little Artisan handcrafted flower pins are sure to please any sewers, stitchers, quilters, scrapbookers or card makers. Use the pins on cork board or a bulletin board to display jewelry, pin a note, or hang a trinket.

Time to create...

So I've had a little time here lately to be creative.  I've titled this necklace "Checkered Cherry". Once again, I've crocheted with wire but this time I added little black and white seed beads in to give it that checkerboard appearance.

Here's a close up view of the necklace.

Here's a pair of earrings that I recently created. I'm calling these "Striped Cherries". Think abstract cherries since there aren't any leaves included.  Maybe I'm stretching the "cherry" thing...lol. Lots of ideas...back to the studio for me!

200th Post & The Mystery Woman Revealed

Soooo....if you read Tues. & Weds. post you know what this is about.  I was looking through some old photo boxes this week for a picture of my son at Halloween so that I could scan it and post it on his Facebook page. It was good for a few laughs when I did it to him on his Birthday in August.

I came across this picture and thought "ya know people keep asking me to post a picture of myself". This is probably the last picture that I "kinda liked" so what the hell....let's expose the Cherry Chick (somewhat). I truly do not like to have my picture taken so finding one of me anywhere is rare.

To celebrate today's 200th post on my blog I am giving away a Cherry Chick original Fried Egg Flower watch. Please see the details on Weds. post here.  I think I had two ladies guess correctly as to who the "Mystery Woman" was. Smart woman!

I have a few interesting and unique ME items to share this week.....

"Life is Just a Chair of Bowlies" is a Limited Edition Porcelain figurine dated 1986 that I've had forever it seems like. It's a favorite of mine.

If I recall correctly, my Mother gave this Anne Estelle needlepoint pillow to me one year as a Christmas gift.

This stationery tin was a promotional giveaway one year at J.C. Penney's for Mother's Day. My sweet son, Christopher, gave it to me. Ahhh....I know....isn't that sweet?
