A Very Busy Week

Well it's been so long since I've posted I forgot the html code to use in my title :-)  I attribute my long absence to being busy working and to spending as much time as possible being creative.

On Thursday last week Mary Engelbreit Studios sent out the email blast pictured above.  It was news to me and it, also, was the first time that they had put the Limited Edition Collection of Cherry Chick Jewelry that I have been designing for them the past year, on sale.  The jewelry must have sold like "hotcakes" because they went from 16 designs available on their website down to 1 now.  I mean everything just sold out!  Happy Dance!

I am happy to share that it drove some traffic to my personal websites where I wasn't having a sale.  But that didn't seem to matter.

Fortunately, this week I have been busy creating new designs to sell in my Artfire.com and Etsy.com shops.

I'm grateful for the positive response and added attention.  I know the stuff will sell if people just know it's out there!

A big Thank You to all my wonderful customers and friends.  I truly appreciate your support.  Group Hug!

Tuesday Morning @ Rednesday

Do you have Tuesday Morning stores where you live???  Today, Tuesday, I was going a little stir crazy being at home so I took a little trip out for awhile.  I remembered see an ad for a sale that was starting at Tuesday Morning today.  In case you've never heard of the store they sell a lot of close out merchandise at discounted prices. I find stuff there that I never see anywhere else.
I don't even remember noticing all these fun Cherry "Tidy Aphrodite" cleaning tools in the flyer. This display was on the end cap near the back of the store. I'd almost made it through the whole store with nothing in my shopping basket.  Without a "new career" I'm being very frugal with my pennies these days. But, alas, I did have a need for a dust pan and brush. Really...I do! It was a bargain at $4.99 for the set. I did talk myself out of the ever so cute ironing board pad covered with Cherries and the rubber gloves with oh so cute cuffs with Cherries.  The broom was really cute, too, but I resisted. I'm so proud of myself but you know if I land a job this week this will be the first place I head back to!
So go check it out if you have a Tuesday Morning store close by you.  I'm joining Sue over at "It's a Very Cherry World" for Rednesday this week. Pop over and see what other "Red" the ladies are sharing.

Time to create...

So I've had a little time here lately to be creative.  I've titled this necklace "Checkered Cherry". Once again, I've crocheted with wire but this time I added little black and white seed beads in to give it that checkerboard appearance.

Here's a close up view of the necklace.

Here's a pair of earrings that I recently created. I'm calling these "Striped Cherries". Think abstract cherries since there aren't any leaves included.  Maybe I'm stretching the "cherry" thing...lol. Lots of ideas...back to the studio for me!
I'm joining Sue over at "It's A Very Cherry World" for Rednesday. Please stop over and see all the Red that everyone has to share.
