Sunshine & Still Creating

I'm happy to say that the sun is shining in Florida.  Tropical Storm Debby is on her way out of town. She left a mess in parts of my area but one good thing about being unemployed is that you don't HAVE to drive anywhere.  Because I didn't venture out anywhere in the last four days, I've continued to create.  Here's a "Cherry Red" bracelet watch that I made Monday.

A pair of Pink Poppy Flower Earrings

Something totally new for me is this "Cherries and Checks" silk cord necklace.  I've used some cute little lampwork beads, a piece of chain with faceted glass beads attached, and a fun silk cord that can be adjusted to just the right length for whom ever wears this pendant necklace.
Thanks for stopping by I'm sharing some Red today with the ladies over at "It's A Very Cherry World!" for Rednesday. Stop over at Sues' Blog to see more Red.

Rain, Rain, and more Rain

It's been raining for days now so I've been hanging out in the house all weekend.  Nothing like staying home to make you be creative.

I did have only the radio on but then they kept talking about tornado warnings so I turned the television on.  It looks like tropical storm Debbie is skirting by us, thus all of the rain today.

We'll have warnings for another hour and a half. I miss my sunshine but then again we need the rain.  Rainy days do not make for good photographs either.

Here are a couple of pieces that I put for sale this weekend.

I was thinking about making a bracelet like this but then I took it apartAs it ends up, I made earrings but that won't be photographed until I have some sun.

Have a wonderful rest of your weekend!

Cherries & Checks Necklace

I've had these black and white Tila beads for awhile now and I always knew that I would make a checkerboard out of them. Well, I came up with this new design for a necklace on Weds. and I finished up the work on Thurs.  It looks a lot cuter on than it does in this flat photograph.

Inspired by Charm is having a blog party for the next couple of days so I'm joining in to share my latest "Creation". Pop on over and check out his Giveaway.

Where Bloggers Create

Want to join in the party with me??? Karen Valentine from over at My Desert Cottage blog is hosting a blog party "Where Bloggers Create" next month on July 14th. There's no excuse...I've given you almost a month to clean up your "creative space" to share with the world.  If you can't join then come back and see all of the wonderful spaces for inspiration.
If you want to participate you'll need to pop over to her blog and leave her a comment with your blog address letting her know. Sounds simple enough to me.  Don't you just love peeking into others peoples houses??

Tuesday Morning @ Rednesday

Do you have Tuesday Morning stores where you live???  Today, Tuesday, I was going a little stir crazy being at home so I took a little trip out for awhile.  I remembered see an ad for a sale that was starting at Tuesday Morning today.  In case you've never heard of the store they sell a lot of close out merchandise at discounted prices. I find stuff there that I never see anywhere else.
I don't even remember noticing all these fun Cherry "Tidy Aphrodite" cleaning tools in the flyer. This display was on the end cap near the back of the store. I'd almost made it through the whole store with nothing in my shopping basket.  Without a "new career" I'm being very frugal with my pennies these days. But, alas, I did have a need for a dust pan and brush. Really...I do! It was a bargain at $4.99 for the set. I did talk myself out of the ever so cute ironing board pad covered with Cherries and the rubber gloves with oh so cute cuffs with Cherries.  The broom was really cute, too, but I resisted. I'm so proud of myself but you know if I land a job this week this will be the first place I head back to!
So go check it out if you have a Tuesday Morning store close by you.  I'm joining Sue over at "It's a Very Cherry World" for Rednesday this week. Pop over and see what other "Red" the ladies are sharing.
