Rednesday on the Beach

I'm joining Sue from "It's A Very Cherry World" and all the other bloggers who will be sharing their RED today.
I once took a wonderful trip to Panama City Beach, FL. We had Sangria wine on the balcony.
While play around with the camera we were able to get this cool "double" photo of the wine glasses via the reflection of the sliding glass doors.
We had some really beautiful sunsets and the most perfect views of them. I love the scattering of the clouds in this photo.

Rednesday from Lake George with Cherry Chick

Once again, it's Rednesday over at Sue's blog, "It's a Very Cherry World" stop over and see all the wonderful RED being shared by everyone.

I'm a little behind already this week and I was not prepared for my Rednesday post. I've taken a quick look through the photographs that the BF and I took a few weeks ago when we were up in the Adirondacks at Lake George, NY enjoying a fabulous long weekend.
I know, not exactly what you were expecting. We stayed in this wonderful Marriott hotel in NJ on our drive up that was being remodeled. We were exhausted at 3 a.m. when we finally reached the hotel for the night but in the morning when we checked out I noticed how fabulous the carpet was in the area by the elevators. Major RED, so out came the camera from my bag.
On Saturday, we strolled along the shore of Lake George near the "tourist area" enjoying the sounds of a Jazz Festival that they were having that weekend. The weathers was fabulous and the sites were very tranquil for this city guy and girl. We happened upon these trees in a common garden. I have no clue as to what they are but we all know what it reminded me of...lol. This was my photo.
This is the shot that the BF took with his fancy Canon EOS Digital Rebel that just took forever to upload because it is the size of a "movie screen". I like his better. Holy Macro!
I'm hoping to get some time soon to put together a Smilebox something (scrapbook or slideshow) of all of the beautiful pictures from our wonderful weekend getaway.
Thanks for sharing in my impromptu Red this week.

Memorial Day weekend trip.....

"Sunday Favorites" is a Sunday meme designed to give bloggers a chance to share a favorite post from the past!!! Today I am joining Chari and all the other bloggers with a look back at a wonderful and unforgettable trip that I took in 2009. Many happy memories from that adventure and lots of lovely photographs to remind me. Life is good.

I'm back from my trip up to New Jersey and New York with the BF. We had a wonderful time. We went to Princeton, NJ on Friday, then we headed up to Auburn, NY where we made "base camp" on Friday evening. Saturday morning we headed to Niagara Falls, NY (so cool!) and Sunday we went to Aurora in the finger Lakes of NY to visit Mackenzie-Childs operations. What a beautiful farmhouse they have decorated with all of the MC furnishings. If only I was wealthy!
Monday we went back to Newark and just chilled for the day. Time just went by too fast but it was all wonderful. Thank you, Bee! <3

April Adventures with the BF....

The BF came home last Friday and we took a roundabout trip to Key West. First we zipped over to Orlando with the thought of checking out Epcot but it was late in the afternoon before we got there and $75 a pop for tickets is just more than we want to spend. We did pay $12 to park and then took the monorail ride around for a few minutes.

We left there and started the long drive down the costly Florida Turnpike to Miami. We spent the night in a lovely room at the Ramada Inn in Florida City. It's right at the beginning of US 1 that takes you down the Keys.
We headed out early Saturday Morning for the 3 hour drive to Key West where we had a reservation at the lovely Ambrosia Bed & Breakfast (title above links to their website). A wonderful and relaxing place. Ben could not have been nicer. We stayed in the Havana Cabana room. It has a very large jacuzzi bathtub that was just wonderful after our long drive and long day of walking Duval Street.

I'm working on a smilebox slide show with all of our pictures and I'll hopefully have that up soon.
It was such a special trip with my sweet & wonderful BF....Love you Bee ;-)

Video & Slideshows from "Leaf Peepers" trip to the Adirondack & Philadelphia...

Please join us all at Happy to Design to see our Sunday Favorites. We share our favorite post from the past. A big Thank You to our host, Chari.

This week I'm reposting my "many" Smilebox presentations from the trip I took in the Fall of 2008 to upstate New York & Philadelphia to see some Fall colors. You might have seen my recent "Rednesday" post of Christmas at Longwood Gardens in PA. Now you get to see what the gardens looked like in the Fall.

I finally finished editing all the pictures and put together the slide shows along with a small video from the Ausable Chasm in New York that allows you to hear the sounds of the river. Enjoy!
